On May 31, 2022，"Director Ability Requirements of E-sports Event " Group Standard Workshop was held online. The Group Standard was jointly established by ISC and several member units of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Standards Innovation Alliance.

At present, there are more than 500,000 employees in our country's e-sports industry, but the talent gap rate is still high, and the quality and professional ability of employees are uneven. Guaranteeing the sustainable development of the e-sports industry, building and developing a standard system for e-sports talents, standardizing the industry's core job competency requirements, and promoting industry talent training, job competency evaluation, and career development path planning have become an urgent need for industry development.

The development of the group standard will help the talent training, job ability evaluation and career development path planning of e-sports event directors, and guide e-sports event production companies, e-sports event execution companies, and e-sports industry organizations, the related parties such as secondary and higher vocational education colleges and e-sports clubs related to e-sports majors, to systematically cultivate and evaluate the ability of e-sports event directors and broadcast talents, improve job ability matching and work efficiency, and further clarify the career development of talent positions. Promote the standardization and standardization of the e-sports industry, and promote the high-quality and sustainable development of the domestic e-sports industry.

In the next step, ISC  will promote the development and release of the group standard as soon as possible, give full play to the advantages of the industry platform, rely on industry resources, and jointly carry out the training of e-sports event director talents and job ability evaluation with relevant parties, so as to promote e-sports develop in  a Industrial standardization and high-quality manner .
