China Internet-Site Development and Security Report 2014 released in Beijing

On March 21, Chinese Internet-Site Development and Security Report 2014 (hereinafter referred to as the “report”) News Conference & Internet-Site Development and Security Trends Forum Held in Beijing, which was jointly organized by Internet Society of China (ISC) and the National Computer network Emergency Response technical Team Coordination Center of China (CNCERT/CC).

Liu Jie, the Deputy Director of MIIT Telecommunication Authority, attended the meeting and addressed a speech. He said, to promote the healthy development of China’s Internet sites, Chinese government continuously  kept innovating its management mode and philosophy for more than a decade. It provides considerate and effective services for websites sponsors and access providers in accordance with the principle of being convenient to the people, favorable to the people and benefiting the people. In 2005, the registration record procedure of Internet-site achieved the change from offline administrative examination and approval to online. By now, the technical platform has been established, on which Ministry, provincial and corporate site records management and e-government administrative examination and approval can be conducted. He also reminded that it is necessary to check and notice the site’s recording status before shopping, making friends and paying on the Internet, enjoy the services provided by legally-approved sites and be caution with the unapproved ones.

Report delivered thorough and in-depth count, analysis and research on the amounts and distribution of China’s websites, composition of sites sponsors, dedicated IP of sites, status of major Internet information service sites, market access competition situation and security status etc., providing significant and valuable reference for Internet practitioners, industry investors, research institutes and netizens to get overall understanding of China’s Internet sites.

The news conference was presided over by Mr. ShI Xiansheng, the Deputy Secretary-general of ISC.
