Internet Financial Security Forum Held in Nanjing

Themed with “Co-build the Security Ecology, Safeguard the Future of Internet Finance”, the Internet Financial Security Forum was held at the 2017 Global Future Network Development Summit in Nanjing, Jiangsu on April 18, 2017.
Wu Hequan, the president of Internet Society of China (ISC), attended the forum and gave a keynote speech titled Internet Finance and Internet Security. In his speech, Wu comprehensively introduced the characteristics, development, and risks of Internet finance, and made the corresponding countermeasures for Internet financial security. He pointed out that the essence of Internet finance is finance, and the core is to control risks. It is necessary to grasp the timing and intensity of Internet financial supervision.
At the forum, Shi Xiansheng, Deputy Secretary-general of ISC, analyzed the current status of China's Internet financial security, and the challenges and risks. To properly control Internet financial risks and ensure the standardized and healthy development of Internet financial services, he proposed five suggestions, including speeding up the process of Internet finance legislation, establishing and improving Internet financial credit system, constructing a safe and credible industry ecosystem in union, strengthening self-defense education of Internet financial risks, and enhancing capacity building of Internet financial security management in technologies.
Hosted by the ISC, the forum is one of the most important sessions of 2017 Global Future Network Development Summit. It expects to study and explore theories, technologies, mechanisms, and cases for strengthening and safeguarding Internet financial security. Nearly 200 renowned experts and scholars of Internet finance and security services and representatives of Internet finance companies attended the forum.
